TRURO City provides one of the largest youth development programmes in Cornwall.
Whilst holding its own constitution, financial arrangements and affiliation with the County FA, the links with the main club are ever present, with all the League teams wearing replica first-team kit and many of the young players involved with mascot and ball-boy/girl work for home games at Treyew Road.
Each season, the youth section enters around 20 teams into the East Cornwall Youth league, the Kernow Youth League, and a County League for girls.
Whilst success in youth football can be measured in many ways, such as fitness, enjoyment and making new friends, the inevitable amount of trophies won by teams each season is testament to the quality of the coaches and also the aptitude and attitude of players in all teams.
There is also a robust community programme for players not quite ready for League football. This runs every Saturday morning during term time at Penair School.
Since 2010 it has been headed-up by former Celtic and Republic of Ireland International, Chris Morris. The programme has been an overwhelming success and helps players make the step from community to League football.
Because of the amount of youth teams, a separate website exists at www.tcyfc.co.uk where information about the teams, community football and how to be involved can be found. Any questions are usually directed to the youth secretary, Mark Woolcock on 07811-455 858 or
