City 1 - 4 Woking - The Match

Truro City 1 - 4 Woking

After an entertaining 8-2 victory in the week against Farnborough, City welcomed league leaders Woking to Treyew Road for the first time.

It was City who started the brightest and it was in the first minute when Les Afful struck to go 1 - 0 up with a classy chip.

However, Woking showed just why they are league leaders by converting their chances in the first half and they went into the break with a deserved 1-3 lead with goals from Koranteng, Cowan-Hall and Ademola.

City had their chances to get back into the game in the second half but could not take them and Woking further extended their lead 6 minutes from time with a goal from Alan Inns.

City boss Hodges said on the defeat ""I felt we played well in patches, but defensively, and especially down the left hand side, we caused ourselves a lot of problems.  Woking didn't create loads of chances, but obviously they took them well and two of their goals were great finishes.  I just think our positional play was wrong;  we didn't stick to our game plan defensively"

City host Welling Utd this coming Saturday, 5th November at Treyew Road with a 3pm kick off.
