JAKE Ash rescued a point for City against Hampton and Richmond this afternoon at Treyew Road.
Skipper Ash, having been brought back into the team following injury, scored his second of the game in the 94th minute to rescue a 3-3 draw.
It was Ash who gave City the lead in the 7th Minute with a header from Scott Walker's cross in the swirling wind. Hampton equalised in the 36th Minute through Ledgister and the Higgins put the visitors in front only 5 minutes later.
1-2 down at Half-Time, a big second half would be needed in order to pick up the 3 points. It was in the 58th Minute when Hampton were penalised for handball and Walker stepped up to convert the penalty.
Dave Tarpey put the visitors in front once again in the 72nd minute with a smart finish.
But the drama was not over, Truro were handed a lifeline in the 94th Minute when they were given their second penalty of the game. Walker stepped up and fired his penalty towards the bottom left corner only to see the Hampton 'keeper pull off an excellent save and the ball drifted out for a corner.
From the resulting corner the ball dropped in the 18 yard box and Jake Ash was on hand to volley home to secure a vital point.
Truro are next in action on Tuesday when they travel to Sutton United in the Blue Square Bet South League.
