City went down 3-1 at the hands on Dover Athletic on Saturday afternoon after making a dream start.
City went ahead after on 11 minutes when Scott Walker put away a penalty.
Dover replied with 2 goals before half time courtesy of George Purcell and Jemal Johnson from the penalty spot, after what looked like a harsh handball against Walker.
After half time, City pressed to get themselves back into the game and it was not through lack of effort but excellent Dover defending that Truro could not get back level.
Dover added a third in injury time through substitute Billy Bricknell to give the home side a 3-1 win.
City's next fixture is away at Eastleigh on February 25th before a home fixture against Eastbourne Borough on March 3rd.
