TRURO City FC are now starting a new supporters club. And we need YOU!
You may have seen the sign-up sheets in the bar area at the last two home games.
Over the last couple of months we have all seen a transformation of Truro City FC. It is fair to say the matchday experience at Treyew Road has been transformed.
The club is now looking to improve further for next season.
Thanks to a dedicated group of volunteers, as well as Peter and Pep supplying their own workers, the ground itself is a lot cleaner and tidier. The pitch as usual is immaculate and travelling fans seem far happier when arriving to watch their team play here.
Although things are improving, we still desperately need more people to assist in day-to-day chores at the ground. If manual labour is not your strong point, then other roles can be found. For example, between now and the end of the season, we need someone to help run the club shop area at the bottom of the bar. Also, we need litter pickers, handy men/women. We need more LADY volunteers.
The club is going in the direction of being a community club. Peter's message is clear - he wants to see this club doing well and back where it belongs, but it needs to be a group effort. Truro is a semi-professional club and as such it can only really succeed with an army of volunteers in the immediate future; this is where the previous regime went wrong possibly.
Any volunteer obviously will not have to pay a yearly membership. The amount you pay as a member is up to you. The membership fees will be kept with the football club and NO-ONE else. The money will help to pay for things like line paint for the pitch, paint for general tidying up, bin bags etc. - all the small things that a supporters club should look to assist with. If we can save the club some money, that can only benefit the team.
Any person who signed up to the Truro Fans Trust and paid a membership fee will have their membership transferred over to the Truro City Supporters Club and receive a full year's membership in exchange.
